In this role, you will be at the forefront of reimagining neuroscience drug discovery using Recursion's unique capacity to perform 1 million experiments per week.

We seek a friendly, reliable, and highly motivated individual with strong communication skills who enjoys security work to join the Security Team. As a member of this team, you will make things more secure by protecting system boundaries, keeping computer systems and network devices hardened against attacks and securing sensitive data. You must be a positive and proactive problem-solver with the ability to think on your feet while providing excellent customer service. This position requires flexibility to work additional hours and be on-call when necessary. In addition, the ideal candidate will have: • At least 2 years' experience as a System/Information Security Engineer • Certifications such as Security or equivalent desired • Experience with AWS Infrastructure and their Security systems • Detailed technical knowledge of database and operating system security • Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc • Understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols • Familiarity with web-related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service-Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols • Critical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems as they arise • Basic coding skills, such as HTML, CSS and other languages Technical Skills • Highly responsive and proven professionalism in communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
